Ryan grew up in Spokane, graduating from Cheney High School prior to attending the Seattle Pacific University Honors program and being elected President of the Associated Students of Seattle Pacific. After his undergraduate degree, Ryan worked for Leader National Insurance Company, a high-risk division for AIG. He used these years to learn the inner workings of the insurance world from the carrier’s perspective, negotiating and investigating insurance claims throughout Washington.
Ryan next attended Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Baylor’s nationally recognized practice court program was a rigorous training ground that transformed Ryan from someone who wanted to practice law into a seasoned, tested, and fearless litigator. He brought this intensity back to Spokane in February of 2003 as he began working on a variety of civil litigation matters for Paine Hamblin, with a particular focus on injury and insurance matters. He worked as insurance defense counsel for USAA, Geico, Swiss Reinsurance of America, MetLife, Mutual of Enumclaw, Great West Life Insurance Company, Leader National, Travelers Insurance, and Safeco Construction Claims. He also represented private industries in civil litigation, construction, contract and employment matters.
In August 2012, Ryan Best founded Best Law PLLC. He brought his considerable past experience with the insurance industry to create a plaintiff’s law firm dedicated to representing individuals, families, and small businesses in their fight for justice. Under Ryan’s leadership, Best Law PLLC brings the experience of large firm practice with the attention that can only come from a dedicated personal attorney.
